The cursor is less accurate. It start's in the ingame homescreen. I can't correctly navigate to my city because the cursor is not accurate. I have to press like 5cm above the button to acutally press the button. Sadly thats also the case during the game, so I can't build new houses and stuff, I don't even get to the right menu. It's really sad. March - last edited March.

I found a couple of similar problems for different games, so let's see if this fix works for your Mac. First: Launch SimCity in windowed mode. Launch SimCity and go to the Settings menu upper right three dots and choose the correct resolution for your screen in the graphics settings.

Then launch your city and see if it works. If it does, you can change in the settings menu to play in full-screen windowed mode. Please reply back and let us know if this works. Happy Building! April - last edited April by Bluebellflora. Yay - finally a solution for this issue which started yesterday for me.

Multiple hours and multiple different ways of trying to make it happen. Thanks heaps, absolute legend So happy we got the windowed screen to work, at least for a bit. I can tell you for sure that SimCity does not like ultra-HD settings, PCs also have this problem game was built when HD x settings were the highest you could get.

Also doesn't play well with most multi-display settings. You could check to make sure your display settings on the Mac don't have any multi-display settings enabled even if you don't have dual monitors. Sometimes PCs will default on install to double monitor settings for some reason - doesn't make a difference for the computer, but the game has trouble recognizing something.

1. Check for macOS Updates

Do you have an option in SimCity settings to choose x resolution? If you can choose that resolution, then check the box underneath that says "full screen" you should be able to run in full-screen windowed mode at those settings. Having said all of that, do you have any issues on the computer with the new mouse or keyboard?

2. Check Relevant Settings

Doesn't seem like it should impact it, but as you said before - updates and new stuff can screw up in all sorts of ways. There was one more tip I found that was related to a different game and different OS version, but helped some users.

I have no idea why this would have an impact, kind of a shot in the dark, but I don't think it would hurt to try. If this helps, I would be very interested to know it lol.

I'm asking around with the helpers to see if there's a Mac expert who may have an idea on what to try. I will get back with any other ideas. April - last edited April. I've split your issue into a separate post as the cursor issue is very specific, as is your display issues. The problem has to do with choppy, laggy, jumpy, and overall slow mouse performance while using a Bluetooth mouse. That is, until I realized that an unlikely culprit was causing my problems. Step 4: remove any other wireless electronic devices from around the area, as these may be causing interference.

Yes, I tried all of those options. I even went as far as to eliminate any start up items that may have been causing problems.

None of that worked. My trackpad worked perfectly fine, but my Magic Mouse was still jerky and slow. I simply place 4 fingers on the pad and swiped left which took me to a quick launch screen. I then clicked on the plus sign in lower left corner once which took me to a secondary screen then clicked on the plus in lower left again.

Once back to the original screen I swiped right. This brought me back to my main page and the click button then worked again for me. Hope this helps. I think it is perfectly ridiculous to Reboot, close the lid and then re-start after a wait…. However, it worked…. Also, the only way I was able to get around he clicking problem was with the Bluetooth mouse. Have brand new Mac pro with the touch bar. Left click stopped working entirely. Tried restarting alone, but nothing. I cant do anything all I can do is use three fingers and make the screen move in and out.

You will lose any unsaved data. Probably a good plan to check your bluetooth settings upon restart if that is possible. Thanks for the post! It was an external mouse being pushed down.

I tried to restart and let it sleep for a few mins, failed…Funny thing was that i finally decided to do nothing except only shutting down the mac and turning on next morning. Finally, it worked again! The trackpad did again react to the mechanic clicks after resting for a day. Hopefully some of u will find it helpful to address the issue.

Hi had a similar problem. No left mouse click even when using an external keyboard. I tried different thing without success then I connected to an external display not sure this helped and managed to go into the mouse settings. Without really changing anything from there, everything went back to normal.

Hard reboot followed by closing lid to sleep my MacBook Pro worked! This was a life saver. I was reading through the comments and I came across one that said they had a Bluetooth mouse that somehow got turned on. At first I thought it silly and unlikely that it was my issue. Low and behold I found the stupid mouse and problem solved. Thank You Willy Pott!! Thanks fir the suggestion of using the arrows and return to log on.
